Mahery: Madagascar Health and Environmentel Research is research group affiliated with the Center for Health and Global Environment and Harvard School of Public Health headed by Christopher Golden (one of National Geographics Emerging Explorers 2014). Since 2004, Mahery has been actively researching the intersection of environmental health and human health to understand the ways in which the ecosystem transformation has downstream effects on human wellbeing. Mahery means strength in Malagasy and the branding was inspired by the Madagascar traveler palm, which is the national symbol of Madagascar.
